Syrah
Syrah is the most varied and identifiable expression of the Monreale DOC terroir. Tenuta Sallier de La Tour produces three interpretations of this important grape variety. The international grape variety Syrah has adapted wonderfully to the intensely hot but breezy climate of the Monreale DOC. A fresh, ready-to-drink wine.
Vineyard
The Southwest exposure provides good light and warmth in summer. The soil is very rich in potassium, which promotes good grape ripening and the accumulation of sugars, aromas, and anthocyanins.
Soil
The Vigna Ex-Pereto has a soil characterized by clay texture (14.4% sand and 32.5% clay). Wet in spring and dry in summer, causes the vineyard to produce in medium vigor. A medium vigor lends itself, depending on the characteristics of the vintage, to obtaining both full-bodied red wines and fresh, ready-to-drink wines.
